Bingo is an excitable young boy looking for his forever home. He is very sociable and loves meeting other dogs, although he has never lived with another dog, he could potentially following a successful meet and greet. He has also lived with young children and cats, although is a little excitable around the cat. He can be a little wary of strangers initially and would benefit from socialisation to help with this. As he isn't keen on the car, he would like a home where he won't need to travel in the car for too long/often. Both boys are very happy and energetic. Echo (pointy ears) is super friendly and loves the sound of his own voice and being the typical Husky he is very stubborn. Racoonie (floppy ears) can be nervous around new people so would need slow introduction but once he know you he is a soppy boy. Both dogs enjoy playing with other dogs that match their excitement levels. Echo & Racoonie both have a high prey drive so would need a home with no small animals . Despite being stubborn the boys do know basic commands. The boys would benefit from an active home with a fair sized garden with someone who could give them the exercise and mental stimulation they both need. Both dogs absolutely love each other so must be kept together.

Talulah and poppy are a lovely mother and daughter who was unfortunately left outside living in a greenhouse. They can be quite nervous around loud noises so are looking for a quieter home with older children. Delilah has been very shy since coming into our kennels and is finding the loudness of kennel life a bit overwhelming. She can walk nicely on the lead and is enjoying her walks sniffing all the wildlife. She will need lots of slow socialising with other dogs and will currently be best suited to being the only pet in the home. Delilah is still finding her feet here at last chance but is very affectionate. She will walk into you with her head and stand there waiting for a cuddle.

Luna was originally handed in to our New Romney centre with puppies as her owners housing situation changed. Since then, all her puppies have found loving homes but Luna is still sadly looking for her forever home. When Luna first came in, she was very wary of men and had so much energy to burn that she would become very frustrated. Luna is now at our Edenbridge centre and has gotten used the daily routines and has calmed right down. She can still be wary of new men she has not met before but has come to like many male members of staff and volunteers. Luna is ok with other dogs but doesn't like dogs that are to boisterous or bouncy so must be the only pet in the home. Luna loves her walks but will need further lead training as she gets very excited and can pull. Luna did not seem to know what a love was and at first used to freeze when receiving attention. She now will jump up at her door every time you get her out for a quick cuddle and a fuss. Luna will make a lovely pet for someone who has the time and patience to help with further training and socialising. No small animals or children.

Doodles is an overexcited boy who is looking for a couple or single person household. In the kennel, Doodles is an angel but in the household he can resort to biting if he gets overexcited, so he is looking for a home who has experience in reward based training who can work on him playing nicely in the home. He loves rabbit holes, chasing mice and digging holes so he needs a really secure garden and cannot be let off lead. He is a typical terrier who loves following his nose and can sometimes become oblivious to his surroundings but he loves calm cuddles and playing with tennis balls.

Kiki is still coming out of her shell here at Last Chance but has been very sweet with staff and is enjoying her walks and smelling all the wildlife. She has never been around dogs that are not greyhounds so can not be homed with smaller dogs or small fluffy animals. Kiki may have never lived in a house before so will need a patient and understanding owner to help her navigate home life.

Betty can be vocal in the home and barks at passing traffic, aeroplanes and loud noises so must have an understanding patient owner.

Buddy came to us not looking his best, he was covered in painful mats that hurt him so much he hated being touched. Now he's had a trim and he's a different dog! Hello I am Tito. I am a very loving dog, with the people I trust. I arrived at the New Romney rescue many years ago from a Welsh pound, no one knows my early previous history, but from my behaviour and the marks on my body, my friends at Last chance know I wasn't treated very nicely. Sometimes I can get anxious and see hands as a threat, I also struggle being out of my routine. One staff member says she is blessed to have my trust, I snuggle up for a fuss, offer her cuddles, demand a tummy tickle (poking my feet in her face) and enjoy her company on walks and in my kennel, but I admit, I do get jealous if anyone else is around us - even when I like the other people! I do get nervous around new people and situations, which sometimes means I can be a bit snappy. I am told I'm handsome and also super fit for my age, I can jump onto the picnic tables in our grounds in just one leap. I will run around the grounds chasing the wild rabbits and squirrels, but birds are my real nemesis, if only I could climb trees!!! I also love sunbathing on the grass and playing catch with my big ball, but I prefer the right company over treats and games and don't like to be left on my own. I am definitely not keen on walks in the rain or the cold! Due to my past experiences (and from the information my friends at Last Chance have gathered on my previous adoptions), I'm told I need a very special and experienced, single, adult only home, with no other animals, I may prefer a female human. Once I form a strong bond with you and feel safe, I will become your best friend, but this also means I will not want to share you, I have waited so long for you I want you all to myself!! I need a quiet home, with a secure garden, very rare visitors and definitely no children visiting! It would be best if you have a very structured routine that I could fit in to. I will need multiple visits from any potential adopter, so we can get used to each other. Leo is a recently retired greyhound who is now looking for a loving home. Leo has sadly spent his whole life living in kennels racing. Since being with us we have noticed that Leo is very interested in all new things especially toys. The squeak sound from a toy scares him but he desperately wants to play with them. So for now we have giving him squeak less toys and we find him playing about by himself in his kennel. Leo is a very energetic boy who LOVES going for walks, everything is exciting for him! He would love a home with a big sofa or bed for him to lounge on all day. Sadly due to his racing history Leo is best in a home with no small fluffy animals.

Erol is a very friendly, affectionate, lovely boy who adores cuddles with people and loves his walks. He is fully house trained and he enjoys a sofa to sleep on. He is the perfect dog in the home who will sleep the majority of the day. As with most sighthounds, Erol has a high prey drive so he needs a home with no cats or small animals. Erol has lived succesfully with a female lurcher and a female shitzu before but would ideally be suited to be in an only dog household. Erol can be reactive to other dogs who get too close to him when on walks, especially males, so his personal space needs to be respected when on his lead. This is due to him previosuly being attacked by off lead dogs. Erol has lived with smaller and older children who adored him but due to his size, we recommend older children. Erol is at Last Chance due to no fault of his own as his previous owners were made homeless.

Shadow is a super playful girl with lots of love to give. Shadow's size and young age means that she will require training and socialisation classes to help her adjust to life outside a kennel. She came in from our Welsh pound and cannot live with any children so we are looking for an adult only household with no visiting children.

Our amazing Molly-Moo (or one of the many other nicknames she has gained) is still waiting for her dream home. She was originally a stray so we know little about her life before Last Chance, however having been with us for some months now, we know she will be an amazing addition to someone's life. She is a silly, lovable lady who craves a good fuss just as much as she does a tennis ball, when she arrived she was considerably overweight, however with a little less munching, and a little more charging after a ball, she is now sleek, slender and frankly, stunning! She is spending a lot of time with one of our amazing volunteers who says she is picking up training very easily and has been showing off her newly learned patience. Molly isn't great with most dogs and will bark when she is out, she would benefit from further training to help with this. She can also be very strong on the lead when she wants to be so will need an owner who is physically strong enough to hold her while she learns she doesn't need to pull. As we don't know Molly's background, she would not be able to live with children and would prefer a home without any other pets. Carter came to us in a very sorry state and had a bad start in life. He is now back to being healthy and his true personality is able to shine through. We believe he hasn’t had a chance to be a puppy before due to being neglected so now his cheeky side is starting to show. He needs a lot of exercise and loves to go for zoomies. He doesn’t like loud noises so needs a quiet home. Carter is very affectionate and loves having his people around him all the time. He can suffer from separation anxiety but with the right training this is easy to overcome. Being in the right home with someone with time and patience Carter will make a great companion. Good with dogs.

Mallow is a very energetic dog. He needs a lot of physical and mental stimulation. He can be very vocal in the house and on walks so needs a rural home with little distractions. Once he is calm, he can be very cuddly on the sofa and playful. He loves to play with toys, especially balls, the squeakier the better!! Mary is a lovely girl who needs a understanding owner. If she loves you she adores you and you become her world, she loves a fuss and to play rough and tumble with you. However this means she gets very protective of her people and can become aggressive when strangers approach. So for this she needs a patient and understanding owner. She is good with dogs out and about but would greatly benefit from gentle socialising and would need to be the only pet in the home. We do not think that Mary has had any training or socialising, She now knows sit and paw, however she gets over excited for the treat so jumps up to give you both paws instead. She can be a tiny bulldozer and charges about when she is having her zoomies. Mary would make a fantastic companion to the right owner and would make you laugh on a daily basis.

Buster is a typically stubborn bulldog. He loves nothing more his big comfy bed, getting under the covers and lots of treats. He can be reluctant to walk in an any adverse weather but likes a stroll at his own pace wherever he wants to go. Buster is a nosey dog and loves coming through our office to sniff new smells and helping to feed the office fish. He will often steal staffs leads and carry his bowl to his bed where Buster can become protective over this and any long-lasting treats. He loves a butt scratch and will roll in long grass for you to scratch his tummy and can be quite affectionate on his own terms. Buster is not short on character but will need an experienced owner. He must go to a male one to one home as Buster loves men. He does not like people coming in to his home so will need to be kept separate. Charlie has come in to our centre after being retired from racing. He is very nervous of new people and will need an owner who can be patient and understanding of his fears as he adjusts to the world outside of kennels. Being trained to chase for racing he will not be able to be rehomed with any cats or other small animals. Charlie is learning to trust staff at the centre with the help of cocktail sausages, which he loves. Charlie is looking for a quiet but active forever home. He may be okay to be homed with calm, older children. Pinky and perky came back into our centre as their owners were unable to keep them. They are both full of character! They both love their toys and will play for hours. Perky loves to find the biggest toy she can fit in her mouth and carry it round with her. Pinky loves to chase tennis balls. Pinky has recently undergone a spinal operation which she has recovered from so well that she has amazed the vets. They both love attention and will jump on your lap and roll over for a scratch. They weren’t socialised when they were younger and can be protective of their owners from people and other dogs so need someone who has experience with this. They must be the only pets in an adult only home. Although they can be wary at first once they know you they are your best friend. And will make the most wonderful and entertaining pets

Ralphie sadly came in to us due to his owners not having the space for him. Ralph lived in a flat with no garden so he would love a nice garden to run around in. Gunner is a complex boy. He can be affectionate on his own terms and likes a gentle fuss. He loves his food and will sit instantly when you mention a treat. Gunner is very active and loves his walks. Like a typical spaniel he loves to smell everything. Gunner can be reactive to dogs and needs lots of very gentle socialising in time. He must be the only pet in an adult only home. Gunner needs an owner who understands that he can get very quickly overwhelmed and understands his boundaries and has the patience needed for him to learn to trust you.

Rolo is a very busy boy. He loves to chase anything that moves and will do this all day. He loves his walks and stops to smell everything. He loves to get snug in his bed and he buries himself under his covers when he sleeps. Rolo is very affectionate and tries to jump on your lap for a cuddle. He loves his toys and will find his favourite and run about with it in his mouth. He is a very active boy so needs lots of exercise.
Rolo has a very high prey drive and try to chase everything. He can get himself very worked up over this and needs a very understanding owner to help him calm down. Rolo is also very reactive to other dogs and can redirect so will need an experienced owner. We think that Rolo would love lots of secure land where he can safely explore and with a very patient and understanding owner who can appreciate Rolo’s needs and give him all the love he deserves. He must be the only pet in an adult only home.

Buddy is a gorgeous boy looking for a very particular home. Buddy needs to be rehomed to someone who lives on their own - no children or other pets- that has experience with dogs with some behavioural trust issues. It would need to be a quiet home with someone who does not’t have many visitors. He gets very possessive and protective of his owner and doesn't want any harm to come to them. He absolutely LOVES his food and will do anything for a nice treat so this is a way to win over his trust and to help build a bond. He loves to rough play and gets very excited when you hype him up to play. Buddy has a lot of love to give, he loves having cuddles on the sofa and will happily snooze by your side when you're watching TV. In time Buddy will make a wonderful companion for the perfect person who is willing to put some time and effort into helping him overcome his fears.

Sadly Jake has recently become diabetic which has caused him to lose his vision, so we are desperately looking for a foster or forever home before he loses his sight completely. He will need insulin injections twice a day but he is such a good boy and waits patiently as he knows a tasty carrot is coming. Jake is one of our long termers who is very misunderstood, he has unfortunately come from a traumatic past which has caused him to bite when feeling threatened. Once Jake trusts you and knows you he is a very affectionate boy and loves a cuddle on the sofa. He is very good with other dogs socially but has to be only dog at home due to resource guarding. Jake is obsessed with food and will do anything to get hold of it so being a typical beagle he will try his very best to get what he wants. Looking for an adult home only who understands Jake's needs.

Bill is a lovely boy once he knows you, but can be a little fearful at first and will snap when feeling threatened but once he knows and trusts you he is fine. Bill needs a one to one adult home with no children visiting, as he does bond with one person very well. Bill does enjoy a fuss but on his terms he's not keen on being over fussed. He does like to guard his toys and bones so he has to be left alone whilst he has these. He is good with most dogs when out but tends to show a dislike to black dogs particularly because of this we are looking for him to be the only pet in the home.

Dancer came to us from a Welsh pound. We believe he was used as a farm dog as he can be weary of people approaching him on the lead and can nip and he is very traffic reactive. Whippy is a funny girl. She can be submissive and scared very easily. She doesn’t like walking on tiled floor and will cry to try and get to you. Whippy loves to run and also loves to be chased by people around a safe space. She likes her toys and will carry them to her bed and lay on them. Whippy loves her owners and will stand up for a cuddle and cling on to your arm for attention. In the home Whippy can be very lazy in between walks and loves a big bed to lounge on. Whippy gets very protective of her owners in and out of the home so needs a very understanding owner with few visitors. She must be the only pet in an adult only home. Whippy is good with bigger dogs but not with small fluffy dogs as she is an ex-racer and has a very high prey drive.

Cobi is a very happy dog when he feels safe, but when he feels scared or frightened he will lash out and will bite if given the chance. So is best left alone when he goes into his scared state, this usually occurs when he hears loud bangs. When he knows you he can be very affectionate and loves to sit on your head looking out the window. We are looking for a very understanding one-person adult home for Cobi with no children visiting please and no other pets. Cobi would need to go to someone who has experience dealing with JRT as Cobi needs a special person who can give him the time and patience he requires. Taylor is a very energetic boy! He can be obedient and knows a few commands, he loves going for long walks and walks well on the lead so this will help burn off some of his energy. He does enjoy playing fetch/chase but only on his terms so once he has had enough then he will simply stop playing. Taylor is reactive to cars / traffic so would need a home on a quiet street where walks with busy roads can be avoided. Due to Taylor’s behaviour issues we are looking for a very specific home for him. The home he needs is a single person only who has experience not only with the breed but dogs with behavioural issues with no visitors. Ideally a home with a bit of land or a large garden for him to explore safely. Any potential new owner for Taylor would be required to come and meet him a few times to help build a bond before adopting him. Danny Boy is a lovely boy once he knows you, he has to have a female owner on a one to one basis, this is all due to him being mistreated. Unfortunately this poor sad little lad, through no fault of his own was kicked and abused in his previous home, living day after day in constant fear, hiding and cowling away from his owner.
This is a very sad case due Danny Boy’s previous male owner who was sadly suffering with-Alzheimers and didn’t realise what he was inflicting on his once best friend. Please therefore understand why our darling sad, confused, untrustworthy, frightened little Danny boy can be unpredictable towards men, and is quite nervous when first meeting you and needs to settle in slowly. Is there someone out there that can reassure him, give back the love he once knew, to enable him to trust that once again, like the song above will there ever be any pipes a calling for our Danny Boy?????? Or does he have to continue to hope, dream, wish for someone to call his name. Look into those eyes, see his pain, reach out to him, give him a chance, give him time to trust you, give him back his life, give him the confidence, patience and love that he needs, LOVE that we all need. I know the right person is out there, make our Danny Boy’s wish come true, a loving home this Christmas, that day and every other one there on, FIND HIM A HOME PLEASE. MORE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR BOY For those of you that feel you can give our little lad the right home, you would have to visit him on a regular basis, over weeks, even maybe months for him to get used to you and to start to trust you, so this is something that must be considered. Danny is ideally looking for a quiet home, with a female that does not have regular visitors, with NO CHILDREN, MEN OR OTHER PETS. Danny needs to be his on boss, not be confronted by things or over stimulated or trying to teach him. Danny I would say at the moment, but who knows in the future, is currently not a companion pet, and would not understand or want loads of cuddles or fuss. Like I say he might be the most adorable companion, but this would take time. Consideration must be taken when out with Danny, due to his fear of people, especially men, you would need to keep a distance from people and dogs whilst walking our Danny boy. Alfie has been with us for some time now due to his behavioural issues, he originally came to us from the welsh pound with no history so we have no idea what traumas he had been through before he got to us. Alfie doesn’t like meeting new people and can be very protective of his area, for these reasons we have come to the conclusion that it would be too stressful for Alfie to be rehomed so he will be staying with us living out his years in a safe environment that he is comfortable with and has members of staff that he has developed a good relationships with. Alfie loves playing ball, lazing in the sun and peaceful walks around our private fields.
