Cat of the week

Annie

Gender/Age: Female 9yrs

Annie came to Last Chance about two years ago. Her owner had left her with a friend and although Annie loved that woman and curled up with her, she hated the rest of the family and their pets. From Last Chance Annie went home with a very kind couple and unfortunately in this home she took a dislike to the woman and her behaviour was very difficult. The couple managed for two years but reached a point where it became too stressful and Annnie has come back to look for a new home. We think Annie's best option for a happy home would be a kind, patient single person. She is a very independent cat and although she will come and ask for affection, she also spends time curled up by herself, so she could be homed with someone who was out during the day. Annie will need a cat flap but she also likes to ask her person to open the door and let her in and out. She is extremely homely and will potter about in the garden, and really enjoys lounging in the sunshine, she is not a fan of rainy weather. Annie has been unpredictable and difficult in her home, but we know that she is able to bond with one person and have a loving relationship with them, so in a home with one person she loves, it is quite possible that she won't have the same problems. Chilli

Tiggy

Tiggy came to us as a stray. He's spent the last 2 years being looked after by kind residents who have fed him and given him shelter and slowly have gained his trust. Tiggy is a vocal boy who can be a bit unsure of new people at first.

Baxter

Gender/Age: Male 1-2 year

Baxter was a lost stray and came in to us to find a new home. He is the sweetest boy in the cattery and we never had a cross word. Unfortunately when he went to a home with another cat, he demonstrated a strong desire to be the only pet and was returned. He is looking for a home where he will be the only pet with no children. He is a very affectionate, playful boy, a real lap cat with a strong personality who likes to be king of the house.

pippin

Sweet Pippin is looking for a home as the only pet where he can be the centre of attention and have the love he deserves. He has previously lived with another cat however they did not get along. He takes a while to trust however he loves his food and is happy to be bribed. He would like a nice calm home where he can come out of his shell in his own time. Bubby, Tigerr and Zebby

Bubby has been with her family since she was a little kitten and Tigerr and Zebby are her very handsome sons from two different litters. This family of cats have been dearly loved pets, but unfortunately their dad is not well and their landlord was threatening to evict the family if the cats were not removed. The three cats adore each other and are always curled up together in a furry heap, but if they cannot be homed together, Bubby would like a home where someone is around for most of the day as she loves a lap to curl up on and lots of fuss. Tigerr and Zebby are also lap cats and love lots of fuss and human company. The three cats are looking for a home with no other pets and gentle, older children, the cats are gentle but haven't been around children before. All three cats really enjoy going into the garden but are homely and don't wander. These cats have been loved and are very loving, they have big personalities and will thoroughly enjoy being part of family life.

Gutsy & Speedy

A very dear mother and daughter whose mum can no longer afford to look after them. Gutsy is affectionate and sweet and Speedy is a bit more independent. They are both very scared and bewildered at the moment, having lost everything and everyone they know. They would love a home together with no other pets and older children. Once they have settled into their new home they will be sweet companions for loving new owners.

This litter came in by no fault of their own. They are sweet but are understandably nervous of their new environment. They could go to a home with another cat and older children.

Anna

Gender/Age: Female 1-2 years

Anna was found as a stray with her 2 kittens. She can be a very chatty cat and absolutely LOVES her food (and will often try to swipe it before it's even been put down). She has become extremely affectionate and loves having a fuss.

Ozzy

Ozzy was found as a stray, he is currently very nervous which is understandable, He would like a calm home where he can come out of his shell in his own time. Loki

Loki is an affectionate and playful lap cat once he knows a new person, but he has trust issues and is looking for a very brave, patient, kind new owner who will cope with a difficult start. When he is nervous or over-excited Loki bites and scratches very suddenly, and he needs someone who will ignore it completely until he feels safe and knows nothing bad is going to happen to him. Loki lived with his human mum since he was a kittten and has come to us, bewildered and sad after her death to find a new loving home. He needs an adult only home with no other pets. He will be fairly outdoorsy once he is settled in and is likely to bring his lucky owner "gifts". Loki is going to be a really lovely, busy, noisy very playful companion once he has found his paws, he just needs a chance and all support and advice would be given to help him and his new owner to adjust to each other. He and I get on fabulously and I am greeted every morning by a very loving boy. He particularly enjoys sharing my vegan ham sandwiches.

Phoebe

Phoebe is looking for her new home after her owner sadly passed away. She is a sweet girl but a little unsure of the world and would like to live with calm, understanding people who can help her come out of her shell. She has previously lived with other cats but has never been around dogs and would prefer a dog-free home. She has never been around young children. Cotton

Cotton has come to us recently through no fault of his own. He is really struggling to adjust to cattery life and so he spends most of his day hiding and hasn't been able to get to know us yet. At this moment Cotton isn't 100% himself so it's hard to know what he would be like in a home but we do know he has lived with other cats before. Ideally, he will need a patient owner in a quiet home who will let him come out of his shell in his own time.

Snowball & Marie

Snowball and Marie are an incredibly bonded pair desperate for a home where they can stay together. They can be nervous initially but once they know you, love having a good fuss and being spoilt. They have previously lived with other cats but have never been around dogs so would prefer a dog-free home. They have never been around young children. Milo

Lovely Milo has come to us and would make the purr-fect companion. He is understandably a little nervous and shut down but he is a lovely boy who just wants a forever home to call his own. Milo got bullied a little by other cats in the home so he could live with a calm cat but cannot live with dogs. Chloe

Chloe is an affectionate lap cat whose owner is working long hours and can no longer give her the time and attention she needs. Chloe needs an adult only home and would love a home where she is not left alone for too long. Unfortunately Chloe has proved to be absolutely terrified of other animals and is very aggressive towards them, so she will need to be an only pet. Chloe needs to stay indoors for 6-8 weeks as she has not been outside yet. She is an extremely active cat who enjoys a lot of interactive play and can become frustrated but once she is able to go outside and race around she will burn off some energy and feel much better.
